What We Do

HPDP provides a stimulating and supportive environment for a multidisciplinary community of scholars and their external partners who share an interest in health promotion. We offer a variety of services supporting every aspect of the research process:

  • Proposal development and submission
  • Post-award financial management
  • Communications and public relations
  • Qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Community-based participatory research methods
  • Data capture, management, and analysis
  • Program evaluation
  • Training and technical assistance
  • Research translation and dissemination
  • Human resources planning and implementation (including job creation, recruitment, and development)
  • Office, meeting space, and equipment

Our research is funded by state and federal agencies (e.g., NIH, AHRQ, USDA, CDC), as well as private foundations. As a CDC Prevention Research Center, we also conduct a Core Research Project and Special Interest Projects (SIPs).
